Since 1926 Venus has fixed one point of its five-pointed rose in Scorpio, a century-long station of shadow and necessary death. That placement did not merely decorate the sky; it governed the underworld of the age—the slow stripping of inherited forms, the public exposure of private rot, the repeated demand that what cannot be redeemed must be burned. The Phoenix myth is not poetry here. It is the mechanics of a cycle that refuses to leave anything unexamined, and the twentieth century’s record of wars, collapses, and institutional failures reads as the working-out of that Scorpio transit.

The point has now moved. After a hundred years the same sacred node of the Venus rose enters Libra, exchanging the scorpion’s sting for the scales. Libra does not abolish judgment; it requires that judgment be measured, that force be answered by counter-force, that the ledger finally balance. Where Scorpio demanded transformation through ordeal, Libra demands the restoration of proportion—harmony not as sentiment but as the equilibrium that keeps a house, a people, or a civilization from tearing itself apart. The Scales of Justice are not decorative. They are the instrument that decides whether the rebirth just completed will endure or will be squandered.

This turning will not recur until 2177. The intervening generations therefore inherit a brief and unrepeatable window in which the work of rebalancing can still be done by living men rather than by later catastrophe. Balance, harmony, and love are the names Libra gives to that work; they are not soft. They are the hard conditions under which a people either recovers the capacity to order itself or watches the scales tip permanently beyond recovery. The Scorpio era is closed. What remains is the choice of whether the new Libra era will be kept or lost.
